Fresh off the heals of our top 3 best ebook reader article, we now go head to head with just the Nook ereader vs Kindle.
There are a number of differences between the two digital readers and below we delve into the comparison, complete with pics and a groovy table. First let me say that which one is right for you will depend on how you plan to use the device, your budget and maybe even where you live.
Nook ereader vs Kindle: Quick Summary
Nook – in full color, WIFI only, audio, 8GB memory, ePub format which means you can borrow books from your local library, over 2 million book titles through Barnes N Noble.
Kindle – eInk, WIFI/3G, audio, 4GB memory, no ePub format, over 850,000 titles through Amazon, iPhone and iPad app.
Essentially the top two ebook readers on the market differ in appearance, size, weight, memory capacity, ebook format and price. Nook is becoming more and more of a mini tablet and as such has more capability, which depending on what you seek, may or may not be a good thing.
If you’re looking for an ebook reader to read mostly magazines, kids books, picture books and the like – then we suggest you try the Nook Color from Barnes N Noble.
If you’re a hard core reader and seek a mostly dedicated ebook reading device, we suggest you try the Kindle from Amazon.
